In Samothrace
We stood at the Sanctuary of the Great Gods, facing Saos, the mountain, in awe; the calming silence of the place makes you feel still even if you are walking. There is a lack of noises so surprising at first, as the only thing you hear is your own breathing; after a while you are able to recognize a very fade and distant sea hum: you turn around and look at the sea. The view from this monument that is almost hidden from the coastline is magnificent, and it takes time to embrace it. It is a beautiful, overwhelming place that makes you want to stay and decode it.
