We sat for a while on that wooden bench by the sea. Without sunglasses, with the eyes half-closed, we could feel the sun warming our face; A very summery thing even though it was freezing cold. Five minutes later, we stopped noticing the sounds of a busy town and our persistent Monday thoughts. In the islands, we don’t have big parks to relax during a lunch break, but there is always a bench on a nearby port where you can eat a warm spinach pie in silence and peace of mind.
